Wright Turning Down New Offers
After his weekend visit to Arkansas State, Wright, a 6-foot, 220 linebacker from Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College, said it is still a three-team race for his services. After visiting Appalachian State and A-State the last two weekends, he heads to East Carolina on Friday.
“Both Arkansas and Kansas State called today and I had to tell both of them no because they had come in too late,’’ said Wright, whose said his parents had an in-house visit with A-State assistants Trooper Taylor and Brian Early tonight.
Wright said last week he had turned down an offer from Nebraska.
“I am down to my three schools and they all got in their too late,’’ he said.
He said he had a good visit with Arkansas State
“It is a real family atmosphere,’’ he said. “I learned a lot about the town, the community.”
Wright will graduate in May.
“I still plan on going to East Carolina this weekend,’’ he said. “After that I will get with my parents and we will decide which school works best with me. Right now they are all about the same. I am just going to have to find the one that is the right fit.”
