Red Wolves Pick Golf Coach

It appears Arkansas State has its new men’s golf coach.

Reports out of Iowa said Indian Hills Community College coach Mike Hagen has resigned at the school to accept the position at A-State.

Astatenation has confirmed he has communicated with several members of the A-State golf team.

Hagen has led Indian Hills to four national titles in the past five years. His departure was announced by the school on Tuesday.

Indian Hills has won the past two crowns and Hagen was inducted into the NJCAA Golf Hall of Fame prior to the 2014 NJCAA tournament. He had won NJCAA National Coach of the Year award four years.

Hagen also was IHCC athletic director the past six years.

A graduate of Northern Iowa, He coached 19 NJCAA All-Americans, 12 Ping All-Americans, five Ping All-Freshman team members and two Phil Mickelson Award winners in nine years at IHCC.
