Blake Anderson said the focus today was grinding through after a hard practice on Wednesday. The team had a letdown during the middle portion of the practice but got better.
Anderson said the Red Wolves have to get better running the ball make the routine two and three yard runs.
Saturday's scrimmage will be the first practice involving full tackling, giving players a game experience. Anderson says the scrimmage is huge as guys need win jobs and hold on to jobs. He says there are battles at every position except for the obvious of Fredi Knighten and Michael Gordon's spots. He expects subtle battles at wideout for positions and roles.
Joe Cauthen said Wednesday's practice did not have the needed energy. Thursday was better with the defense getting to the ball better. The defense needs more consistency. Daniel Keith he said had his best day as a Red Wolf
Cauthen said Saturday's scrimmage may not settle all the position battles.
