License plates promoting Arkansas schools are still growing.

College license plates continue to grow

Since AStateNation reviewed records provided by the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration last year, the number of AState license plates issued has increased nearly 13%.

Only three schools failed to have an increase over last year with College of the Ouachitas having no change, and NW Arkansas Community College and UAPB losing two and three registrations respectively.

University of Arkansas leads the way by a wide margin, followed by Arkansas State, then UAPB and UCA. The four are the only schools with a thousand or more registered plates. Arkansas Tech is fifth and the Battle of the Ravine has produced Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State in a tie at 6th.

The AState plates are available at Revenue offices in all Arkansas counties or can be ordered online for $35 more than your regular plate, $25 of the extra fee goes to Arkansas State's Alumni Association scholarship fund.

Subscribers, we will follow up with a chart of the AState plate's growth over the years.
