Arkansas State season ticket sales rise for eighth consecutive season.

Arkansas State football season ticket sales increase again.

It was a small increase but it was still an increase.

Arkansas State sold 10,233 season tickets for the 2016 season, an increase over 2015’s 10,217.

The 2015 season saw a large increase with Missouri featured on the home schedule and was priced like an SEC game, making season tickets a bargain by contrast. 2016 did not offer a similar high profile opponent known to casual fans and there was no premium priced game.

While the increase was small, Astate now has increased season ticket sales for eight consecutive seasons.

Season tickets are vital to funding a program because the school can budget ticket revenue more accurately. Fans with a ticket in hand are more likely to attend if the weather is bad, the season isn’t going as well, or there are other distractions.

The Red Wolves will have an attractive game for the casual fan in 2017 when Miami arrives for the home opener and second game of the season. ESPN has put Miami at 16 in their early 2017 rankings. Fox Sports has Miami 19th in their early ranking and The Sporting News has them at 21st.
