Howard Commits to Baseball Hogs

Arkansas continues to pile up impressive baseball commitments. The latest is Dillon Howard. This story lists the entire 14-player commitment list for the Class of 2011.

Dillon Howard, the state's top high school baseball prospect, has committed to Arkansas.

Howard (6-4, 210) is a right-handed pitcher from Searcy. He is considered one of the top pitchers in the class of 2011 and is rated the No. 32 overall draft prospect by Baseball America in high school or college.

Howard went 8-1 as a junior with a 0.97 ERA. He also recorded 80 strikeouts in 58 innings on the mound.

He is the fifth Top 100 commit in the senior class, according to Perfect Game USA.

The National Signing Period for baseball begins next Wednesday and runs through Nov. 17.
