Decision Day Arrives

As the national signing date finally rolls around, Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino and his staff appear poised to sign a Top 15 nationally-ranked recruiting class.

Bobby Petrino has a vision for what he wants to get accomplished with Arkansas football program and Wednesday he will add some more of the pieces needed to achieve his goal.

The Razorbacks, fresh off a 10-3 season and BCS Bowl appearance, are scheduled to sign around two dozen recruits as national signing date finally rolls around.

That will be in addition to the six that have already signed and/or enrolled at Arkansas.

All of those have been told of Petrino's plan to win a national championship in the near future.

"That's what our goal is," Petrino said. "That's what drives us. I think when you see our players and our recruits get around our players that they get that sense of confidence and the feeling that we're going to get it done."

While the 2010 on-field success is likely to be felt in the 2012 class, Petrino was able to use the proposed and approved football operations center to entice those in the 2011 class.

"Yeah, we've used it throughout the recruiting process," Petrino said. "The thing our recruits understand is the commitment and support that we have from the administration, and the fact that we're pretty confident it's going to happen."

While Petrino says he doesn't encourage any of the mid-term enrollees to do so, it will be of benefit for the players and thus the program.

"I feel real good about the guys who are already here in school and their potential to help us," Petrino said. "I think we've got, hopefully, a good class that we've put together."
