Peacock Ready To Take Flight

Razorback offensive line signee Jason Peacock (6-4, 334) has passed his course needed to transfer to Arkansas, has ticket in hand and should be in Fayetteville on Friday and thus able to go through spring practice.

While most Peacocks can fly for very short distances, there's one about to take flight across the country.

Arkansas offensive line signee Jason Peacock (6-4, 334) has passed his needed course at Glendora (CA) Citrus College and is set to be in Fayetteville this Friday.

"I am all ready to go with my ticket in hand, I'm flying to Fayetteville on Friday and I couldn't be more excited," Peacock said. "I'm ready for this next step in my journey."

The former Milledgeville (GA) Baldwin star will become the sixth early enrollee from this recent signing class when he goes to class the following Monday.

"I got my course passed and now it is just being certified, making sure everything is taken care of," Peacock said. "But we don't expect any problems because it was all checked out ahead of time."

Peacock says he will be taking 12 hours when he arrives.

"I'm not sure of all the details, but I know I will be in classes and that will allow me to go through spring practice," Peacock said. "It's a big deal for me because he will give me the best chance to make the biggest impact next season."

Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino expects him to contribute right away.

"He is a young man that we feel is very, very athletic," Petrino said at his signing day press conference. "He really understands the game, can bend and is a very good pass set. What really caught our eye is the way he run blocks. He can really come off the ball and finishes very well. He is a guy we think will come in and help us."
