Hatcher Remains A Razorback

Arkansas wide receiver commitment Keon Hatcher (6-2, 205, 4.5) recently got an offer from Oklahoma State and will attend the Cowboys' Bedlam game with Oklahoma this weekend, but stresses that he remains a solid Razorback recruit.

Arkansas wide receiver commitment Keon Hatcher (6-2, 205, 4.5) knew he would be facing questions as soon as he got the offer from Oklahoma State last week.

Not to mention adding that in with his decision to attend this Saturday's Bedlam Battle between the Cowboys and Oklahoma in Stillwater.

"I'd be crazy not to take advantage of the opportunity to see a great football game," Hatcher said. "It's a honor to get a scholarship offer from a school like Oklahoma State, just like he was Arkansas.

"But you can tell all the Arkansas people that I am still a Razorback," Hatcher said. "I am a solid commit. That is my team."

Hatcher has made it clear that the fact that the Razorbacks were the first to the table with an offer is big in their favor.

"There's no way to get around this one point and that's Arkansas believed in me and got on me from the start," Hatcher said. "I am thankful for any other offers I might get, but that means so much to me."

Hatcher is coming off a spectacular senior season in which he caught exactly 100 passes for 1,610 and 21 touchdowns.

"We had a great season on the field and individually I had a great one," said Hatcher.

That included several last minute heroics in a season that ended with a 30-17 loss to Broken Arrow in the Class 6A state semifinals.

The Rams had taken down No. 1 Midwest City 48-45 in four overtimes a week earlier in the quarterfinals.

Hatcher, who will take visits to Oklahoma State and Arkansas in January, had two game-winning catches himself.

"It was a lot of fun and we just came together as a team," Hatcher said. "It was a great ride and we just came up a game short of playing for it all."
