Morgan's Ready To Share

Plano (Texas) Prestonwood Christian tight end Christian Morgan (6-4, 244) will announce his college choice Tuesday at 5 p.m. from among a final four of Arkansas, Baylor, Florida State and Ole Miss.

Plano (Texas) Prestonwood Christian tight end Christian Morgan believes he could not have made a bad choice regardless of which of his four college finalists he has decided to commit to on Tuesday.

But there was just something about that one out of a list of Arkansas, Baylor, Florida State and Ole Miss that stood out for Morgan (6-4, 244).

"It has been a awesome process and I have been able to see a lot of things and meet a lot of great people," Morgan said. "In the end, the one I chose was just the place I felt most comfortable, where I think I fit in best and is the best place for me to develop as both a person and a player over the next four or five years."

Morgan, a four-star prospect and the 11th-best tight end in the country according to, has visited Arkansas and Baylor numerous times unofficially and also made two treks to Ole Miss and one to Florida State.

"I ended up deciding which school was right for me for sure probably last week," Morgan said. "That school just kind of stood out in the end. I think I am making the right choice and I think there is going to be a great opportunity for me to play and play early there."

He had 16 catches for over 300 yards last season as a junior and also had over 50 tackles and nine sacks while playing defensive end.

Morgan also has offers from Miami, Missouri, SMU, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, Washington, Arizona, Arizona State, Iowa State, Kansas State and Tulsa.

He will let the public in on his choice at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

"We are having a press conference and reception at a country club that is near my house and school," Morgan said. "I'm excited to get it over with and start preparing for a great high school season."
