Bell's All In

Navarro (Texas) Junior College offensive lineman Mitchell Bell is now officially a Razorback commitment and is the third of 15 pledges in the 2013 class that are December graduates and will be able to go through spring practice.

At first Arkansas wanted to wait for Navarro (Texas) Junior College offensive lineman Mitchell Bell (6-4, 320) to view the campus before he made his commitment to the Razorbacks official.

But on second thought, Arkansas said let's go ahead and get this relationship on down the road.

So the Razorbacks called Bell - who they see as a guard - on Wednesday and said welcome aboard.

"They just called me and said they were ready to go ahead and make it official," Bell said. "It's official and it feels good. I can't wait to get up there and do my part."

Bell was supposed to visit Arkansas last Saturday to take in the Razorbacks' game with Louisiana-Monroe in Little Rock and then come to the campus in Fayetteville.

But car trouble kept that from happening and he had to see the Warhawks' 34-31 upset of the Razorbacks.

"That loss has nothing to do with my love for Arkansas," Bell said. "It just got out of control in that game, but we'll bounce back. I know we will."

Arkansas is also recruiting Navarro offensive lineman Zach Fondal (6-5, 290), who has some academic work to get done but will likely visit with Bell later this season.

"Hopefully Zach will be up their with me," Bell said. "We are going to both visit later this season."

Bell is the Razorbacks' 15th pledge of the 2013 class and is the third junior college commitment along with Weed (CA) College of the Siskiyous linebacker Myke Tavarres (6-2, 220) and Hartnell (CA) CC cornerback Carroll Washington (6-0, 180).

All three are scheduled to graduate in December and would be able to go through spring practice with Arkansas.
