Count the Fayetteville trio of safety Alex Brignoni, quarterback Austin Allen and linebacker Brooks Ellis among those impressed with new Arkansas head football coach Bret Bielema.
Those three Razorback commitments – who won their second straight Class 7A title a week ago - talked with Bielema on Friday night and then met with him Saturday afternoon.
"We went up there around 1 p.m. and it was just a chance for us to get to know him and him to get to know us," Brignoni said. "It was really exciting to get to meet him.
"My overall impression is he is a great coach and a great guy," Brignoni added. "It makes us even more excited to be Razorbacks."
Brignoni (6-1, 190) admits that he had no idea who Beilema was when speculation started that was going to be named the next coach.
"But I did some research real quick and found out that he is an excellent coach and has had great success in his time at Wisconsin," Brignoni said. "I think we have made a great hire."
Brignoni said Bielema did not discuss what his staff was going to be like.
"We didn't really get into that, but I know that he will hire a great staff and we are going to be ready to compete with anybody in the SEC and the country."
