Arkansas' New Additions

Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema and his staff will sign at least three - and maybe as many as five - junior college standouts during the mid-term national signing period, which opens on Wednesday.

New Arkansas head football coach Bret Bielema will add his first signees of his Razorback tenure when at least three standouts will ink as the national junior college signing period opens Wednesday.

Butler County (KA) Community College offensive lineman John McClure (6-4, 310), Hartnell (CA) College cornerback Carroll Washington (6-0, 180) and Georgia Military College safety Tiquention Coleman (5-11, 190) are all set to sign on Wednesday.

The Razorbacks could also add Weed (CA) College of the Siskyious linebacker Myke Tavarres (6-2, 223) – choosing between Arkansas and Boise State and Coffeyville (KA) CC linebacker Martrell Spaight (6-0, 220) - who will choose between Arkansas and Kansas State.

"I m really looking forward to playing for Coach Bielema and being a Razorback," McClure said. "I love his philosophy of toughness and finishing every play. When I got a chance to meet with him, I knew it was going to be a perfect match."

Spaight, a former North Little Rock standout, committed to Kansas State last week, only to be offered by Bielema on Saturday.

Both McClure and Spaight were named NJCAA All-Americans recently.

Tavarres is set to lead off the group by signing at 9 a.m. CST while Coleman is next at 11 a.m., Spaign at noon at the North Little Rocke weight room and McClure and Coleman around 12:30 p.m.
