Split Decision: Dwayne Johnson

It's Arkansas or Nebraska for Houston (Texas) Bellaire offensive lineman Dwayne Johnson (6-6, 275) and that race is now fully engaged after official visits to both places.

The race for the young man with the same name as wrestler/actor The Rock is now fully engaged.

Arkansas hosted Houston (Texas) Bellaire offensive lineman Dwayne Johnson (6-6, 275) this past weekend and took its best shot at steering him away from Nebraska.

"The fan base here is crazy," Johnson said. "It's fun. They (the Razorbacks and Huskers) both have huge fan bases because they are the only rodeo in town. You can't go wrong with either one."

Which official visit was best?

That is something I am still evaluating," Johnson said. "I have been thinking about it on and off, but I am not sure."

He was asked if Arkansas gained ground with his visit this weekend - a visit that also included his dad and two uncles, one formerly of Conway.

"Definitely," Johnson said. "That is why I am still undecided… I think it was a pretty good visit and I have a lot to think about now."

Johnson said there were several things to like about his visit to Fayetteville.

"I would say the highlights were the coaching staff and how close the team is as a family," Johnson said. "That was pretty cool. Also the facilities and the ones that are to come."

He lauded Arkansas offensive line coach Sam Pittman.

"I think Coach Pittman is the real deal," Johnson said. "He is a real good coach and you can look at his coaching history. I think he is an excellent coach."

His host was Jonathan Williams.

"He was a real cool dude," Johnson said. "He is a funny, funny dude."
