Gragg's Time

Pine Bluff sophomore tight end Will Gragg (6-4, 238), who took in the Arkansas Red-White game on Saturday, will watch his brother and former Razorback tight end Chris Gragg get drafted this weekend and then get back to trying to be on that same path himself.

In just a few days, Pine Bluff sophomore tight end Will Gragg will gather around with his family to watch where his older brother Chris goes in the NFL draft.

Then he'll go back to working on pushing toward that for himself.

Gragg (6-4, 238) got an offer from Arkansas before his sophomore season started and likes what he is seeing from new Razorback head coach Bret Bielema and his staff.

"I think they are going to be really good," Gragg said. "I like they way they have come in and want to play physical football and run the ball first. They look like they have a pretty good scheme in mind and we are just going to see how it works."

Gragg made the move from Warren to Pine Bluff – where he had lived before – and says it was a seamless transition.

"It went really good," Gragg said. "I didn't get the ball as much as I wanted to, but I really improved as a blocker and that was one of the things that I really needed to improve on. I got to meet a lot of new people. It was cool. Since I lived there before, it was all good."

He has a clear idea of what he wants to do in the off season.

"I want to improve on my strength and my downfield speed so I can get open on my deep routes," Gragg said. "I can do the short routes good, but I am working on my post and go routes."

Arkansas remains Gragg's only offer to this point, but he is getting interest from several other SEC schools.

"I'm getting it heavy from Ole Miss, Auburn and LSU," Gragg said.

Gragg has already been to combines in Dallas and Memphis and is primed for several camps this summer.

"It's going to be busy," Gragg said. "We are trying to go to at least six camps, including Florida State and the ones I have already mentioned. The next one is Ole Miss on June 1 and then I'll be up here for Arkansas'. I'm really looking forward to it."
