Arkansas got the lone run early, but that turned out to be all Razorback ace pitcher Ryne Stanek and a pair of relievers needed.
Stanek pitched 7 2/3 innings of six-hit, shutout baseball and Dominic Ficociello's third-inning single plated the only tally for the visitors as Arkansas downed Auburn 1-0 on Friday night.
The win clinch the third seed in next week's SEC Tournament for the Razorbacks (35-18, 18-10).
Arkansas left eight runners on in Friday's game, but Auburn (32-22, 12-17) stranded 10. The two two teams have split the first two games of the three-game series.
Stanek (8-2) allowed six hits, walked four and fanned four while pitching into the eighth inning. He threw 123 pitches, 76 of which were strikes.
He was followed to the mound by Jalen Beeks, who pitched out of a two-out, two-on situation and then Colby Suggs fanned the side while earning his 11thth save with a scorless ninth.
The Razorbacks and Tigers will finish up the regular season on Saturday with a 1 p.m. game.
Arkansas 1, Auburn 0
