Arkansas Combine

The 16th annual Arkansas Football Combine will be held Saturday in North Little Rock with Razorback tailback commit Juan Day (6-1, 210) expected to headline the event.

For the 16th straight year, most of the best football prospects in the state of Arkansas will descend on Central Arkansas in a quest to improve their recruiting profile.

The invitation-only Arkansas Football Combine, formerly named the FCA Combine, will happen Saturday at 9 a.m. in North Little Rock with over 100-plus participants.

Organizer B.J. Maack has been there for each of the combines.

"When I started this 16 years ago, it was to help grow the talent in the state of Arkansas and help them get publicity and have more opportunities when it comes to college programs," Maack said. "I think that is exactly what has happened."

Among some of the names scheduled to be on hand Saturday are a pair of North Little Rock standouts in tailback Juan Day (6-1, 210) – an Arkansas commit – and cornerback Kavin Alexander (5-9, 185), who has also drawn the Razorbacks' attention.

Others expected to show are Smackover linebacker Kevante Lowery, the Russellville duo of athlete Jalen Curtis and tight end Drew Smith, Carlisle tailback Bo Weddle, Gosnell tight end Jerry Henry, Lakeside quarterback Garrett Carson, Dollarway's Joshua Liddell and the Springdale pair of tight end Joshia Wymer and cornerback Cua Rose.

The athletes will all be measured and weighed and will be tested in the 40-yard dash, the shuttle, vertical jump, bench press.

"We will have 170 or so kids participating and a chance for the best to go against the best," Maack said. "It also allows the college coaches to get the data early on and gives these kids more opportunities."
