Eluemunor Raves About Arkansas

Scranton (Pa.) Lackawanna Community College offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor (6-6, 315) talks with Hawgs Illustrated about his visit to Arkansas last week and his timetable for announcing a final decision regarding his college choice.

London-born offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor (6-6, 315) of Scranton (Pa.) Lackawanna Community College – one of the nation's top two junior college tackles per Scout.com - will be the first to admit he has been quite enamoured with each of the colleges he has visited.

That's why he committed to UCLA, then talked of his fondness for Ohio State and now has great things to say about Arkansas after his official visit to Fayetteville last week.

"Arkansas is just a fantastic school with great coaches, great facilities – especially the brand new one (the Fred W. Smith Football Operation) and the fans are just unbeliveable," Eluemunor said on Tuesday afternoon. "The support is unmatched. I was absolutely blown away by it all.

"I can't think of a better situation for a college football player and college football program then what Arkansas has going right now," Eluemunor said. "They are headed in the right direction with their program with the right coaches in place and the right resources to win big. It's a great opportunity for me, especially to play early and make an impact."

Eluemunor said Tuesday that he plans to make his final decision known Friday via twitter and that it will be either Arkansas or Ohio State.

UCLA, where he was a soft commit coming into the visit to Fayetteville, has been eliminated per Eluemunor.

Those are the final three standing from a lengthy list the four-star prospect that also includes offers from Alabama, Florida State, Texasa A&M, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Penn State, Wisconsin, Kansas State, West Virginia and Arizona State.

He is on track to be a mid-term graduate.

Eluemunor, who said he has a great relationship with Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema and offensive line coach Sam Pittman, admits that he was totally overwhelmed by seeing the recent transformation at Arkansas.

"Both Coach B and Coach Pittman have been recruiting me since last November when they were at Wisconsin and Tennessee," Elumunor said. "I knew they were both great guys and great coaches and now that they both are at Arkansas it has the chance to really be something special. Both guys know how to develop players and get them to the NFL. That is a big factor for Arkansas. You can just look and see guys they have coached in the NFL having great success.

"It was really cool getting to see what they are about now that they are at Arkansas and the plans they have for me and the team going forward if I am a Razorback," Eluemunor added. "Those two guys just really know what they are doing."

He admits that it was exciting to be a part of the unveiling of the new operations center to the current Arkansas players last Friday.

"That was just great," Eluemunor said. "To see the excitement from those guys, to see the respect they have for the coaches, to see that is truly one family was just kind of a magical experience. It is something I was really happy to be a part of and won't forget."

Neither will going to the Catfish Hole restaurant and seeing hundreds of Arkansas fans who made it clear where they wanted him to play his college football.

"That was crazy, just crazy," Eluemunor said. "I have never seen anything like it. Arkansas fans are just the best. They make you want to play for them."
