The SEC released its 2014 basketball schedule on Tuesday with Arkansas set to open its 18-game league slate Jan. 8 at Texas A&M.
That means over 20 of the Razorbacks' games are known for this upcoming season – highlighted by playing in the Maui Invitational in November and hosting Kentucky Jan. 14 in an ESPN "Super Tuesday" game at 8 p.m.
Arkansas welcomes back 10 players who saw significant time from its 19-13 team last season while adding in 6-6 Houston transfer Alandise Harris, 6-10 big men Bobby Portis and Moses Kingsley and former Fayetteville guard Manuale Watkins.
"We took care of the home court," Anderson said at the end of last season about going 17-1 at home. "The next step is to really rev it up and get more experience in what we're doing, and have more guys who have done it more than one or two years, and then you take it on the road. The formula to win championships is to take care of home and steal at least half of them or more than half of them on the road.
"Experience will be our greatest teacher," Anderson added. "In order to win on the road you have to have somebody out there to pull them together when adversity takes place. The coach can only do so much from the bench, but you've got to have somebody out there on the floor."
Arkansas will play Kentucky, Georgia, Missouri, Alabama and LSU home and away and the other eight league teams once.
The Razorbacks, who were 9-0 at home in SEC games last season, will also host Florida, Auburn, Ole Miss and South Carolina.
They will also take trips to Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Mississippi State.
The Razorbacks finished 20th nationally and third in the SEC in home attendance with an average of 13,750 fans per game.
Arkansas' is set to open the Maui Invitational Nov. 25th against California at 2 p.m. CST.
Also in the eight-team Maui Field are Minnesota, Syracuse, Chaminade, Baylor, Gonzaga and Dayton.
There are also known home games against Louisiana-Lafayette (Nov. 15) and High Point (Dec. 28).
It is also expected that in the near future the Razorbacks will announce a home-and-home series with SMU, now coach by Basketball Hall of Famer Larry Brown.
