Arkansas Visit Family Affair For Floyd

One of the seven prospects Arkansas is hosting this weekend is Miami, Fla., Gulliver cornerback Cornelius Floyd (6-0, 170, 4.4), who has his parents with him for his official visit.

Miami, Fla., Gulliver Prep cornerback Cornelius Floyd is excited about his official visit to Arkansas this weekend in part because it is a family affair.

Floyd (6-0, 170, 4.4), who was named all-state in talent-rich Florida and is a 3-star prospect per, brought both his mom and dad along on the trip.

"It's great," Floyd said. "They really don't get out that much and I am glad I can help them sight see and see new things."

Floyd is one of seven official visitors scheduled to visit Arkansas this weekend as the Razorbacks try to fill their last six or seven shots.

He is a prospect that is being recruited for Arkansas by assistants Randy Shannon and Taver Johnson.

"They are some good guys and they have been around the game a long time," Floyd said. "I think they can teach me a lot to improve my game."

There are several factors that have Arkansas in his top three along with Oklahoma and the University of Central Florida.

"I like the coaching, the area and the weather is not too bad," Floyd said. "Fayetteville is a pretty nice and good place to be."

While he has visits to Oklahoma and UCF scheduled the next two weeks, Floyd does say there is a chance he could end his recruiting.

"There is a chance I could commit and end this whole process and get it over with," Floyd said. "I am starting to wear down, getting tired. There's a lot of phone calls, lot of coaches, lot of visits and interviews."
