Floyd's High On The Hogs

Miami, Fla, Gulliver prep cornerback Cornelius Floyd (6-0, 170, 4.4) names Arkansas his leader and could be near a commitment to the Razorbacks after a weekend visit to Fayetteville that left him raving about the program.

Miami, Fla., Gulliver prep cornerback Cornelius Floyd's recruiting process is not over, but it most certainly has entered the home stretch and there is a definite leader at the turn.

Floyd (6-0, 170, 4.4) said so Sunday after his official visit to Arkansas concluded.

"Arkansas is my leader," Floyd said. "....I give the visit a 10."

..This was a great weekend," Floyd added. "It was a once in a lifetime chance to get up to Arkansas and I had fun."

Is a possible commitment to head coach Bret Bielema's Razorback program in the works soon for the 3-star cornerback prospect that was recently named all-state in talent-rich Florida?

"Arkansas stands high on my list... Coach B is coming down to my house for the in-home visit (this week), so we should know by then," Floyd said.

Floyd, who came into the visit with official visits scheduled to Oklahoma and the University of Central Florida, was hosted by Miami native and Razorback redshirt freshman safety De'Andre Coley and impressed by several things.

"The fans, coaches and players. De'Andre Coley, he's a good kid. He's quiet, like myself. He showed me around. He said it's a lot of fun. He said the fans are crazy, they show a lot of love, and he likes it a lot."

He said that he really liked the current Arkansas players.

"We had an instant bond," Floyd said. "They played around with me...yanking my chain, stuff like that."
