Robinson Raves About Razorbacks

Arkansas got its chance to impress Miami, Fla., Northwester wide receiver Jojo Robinson (6-0, 170, 4.4) this weekend on his official visit and apparently it was mission accomplished.

Miami, Fla., Northwestern wide reciever JoJo Robinson didn't quite know what to expect from his official to Arkansas this weekend, but left extremely impressed.

Robinson (6-0, 170, 4.4) is a soft Florida State verbal commitment that is also considering Auburn, TCU and LSU.

"My visit went very nice," Robinson said. " I had a great time here, it was a great experience. It was my first time to Arkansas, so I loved it.

"It's just a family," Edwards added. "Everybody's on the same page. They had great fans, the facilities are amazing and it's just a cool town."

Robinson, who had 70 catches for 760 yards and 4 touchdowns while rushing for 326 yards and five more scores in his career at Northwestern, is a versatile athlete that could play a number of positions..

"They (the Razorbacks) want me to play receiver," Robinson said. "They want me to come and turn this thing around. Last year they were weak in the passing game, but they want me to come change that.

"...They plan on having me play the slot mostly, then go outside and play both," Robinson added. "Then, special teams, of course, like punt return and kick return."

Robinson was hosted on his official visit by a pair of Miami natives turned freshman Razorbacks in offensive lineman Denver Kirkland and safety DeAndre Coley.

"They're friends for home," Robinson said. "I've known them for a very long time, so we were just hanging out and having fun."

They stressed to him the transition from Florida to Arkansas would be an easy one.

"They were just telling me they have things here and it's not too different. You've got to get used to the weather changes because you really see the weather change a lot. In Miami you don't really see that, so you've just got to get used to that..

He has a mid-week visit planned to Auburn and expects to visit TCU next weekend.

"I have Auburn and TCU left," Robinson said. "Another school I'm looking at right now is LSU."

He expects make a decision around Feb. 5, the national signing date.

"I'm definitely going to take my other visits and just wait until closer to signing day," Robinson said.

Robinson said he still considers himself pledged to the Seminoles.

"I still consider myself committed to Florida State. I've been committed to them since early in my junior year, late sophomore year. I still have a good relationship with them and I'm still committed to them."

That being said, he considers himself open and without a leader.

"Not at this point," Robinson said. Everyone is pretty much the same."
