Milton Raves About Arkansas

Arkansas was the first to offer Clinton, La., Silliman Institute defensive tackle Jozie Milton (6-3, 302), who visited the Razorbacks last weekend and now has 10 offers.

Count Clinton, La., Silliman Institute defensive tackle Jozie Milton among those unofficial visitors that left the University of Arkansas very impressed last weekend.

Milton (6-3, 302), whose first offer was from Arkansas, loved what he saw from both the coaches and the facilities.

"I absolutely loved my trip to Arkansas and just everything up there," Milton said. "They have great facilities and I really love the coaches. Plus I got a chance to eat at the Catfish Hole restaurant and it was just fantastic. There was nothing I didn't like about the place."

Milton is now up to 10 offers with Arkansas, Oklahoma State (who he visited on Sunday), Texas Tech, Arizona State, West Virginia, Iowa State, Louisiana Tech, South Carolina, Southern Miss and Arkansas State.

"It's all been very exciting and I am just trying to see as many schools as a I can," Milton said. "I want to commit by August and have it over before the season starts, especially since we are a school where I have to go both ways and I want to be able just to concentrate on the season."

Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema, defensive line coach Rory Segrest and the Razorbacks' facilities have certainly combined to make Arkansas one of his favorites, according to Milton.

"The thing about Arkansas is that everything is so nice – the weight room, the actual field is so beautiful, the football center they have – it is all so first class and I am certainly very interested in the Razorbacks," Milton said. "Coach B is really cool and I really had a great connection with Coach Segrest.

"It's very important to have a connection with the guy who is going to coach your position and he and really hit it off," Milton said. "He used to coach in the NFL and really knows his stuff."

Milton is spending the off season working on improving his technique.

"I need to work on my getting off the line, using my hands and my moves to get free and make the play," Milton said. "The one thing I do really well is fight at the line. I am going to get after it and believe I have a great motor."
