"It surprised me, they just came out of nowhere," he said.
The 5-foot-10, 180-pound athlete visited Florida Friday with his Booker T. 7on7 team. He said Florida is one of his favorites after that visit.
"I like the school," he said.
While on campus, he was able to talk with head coach Will Muschamp and defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson.
"They made me feel at home, I felt comfortable there," he said.
"Florida said they like how smooth I am and I fit their scheme perfectly at slot receiver."
Miami is the other favorite for the South Florida standout. He's visited there before, but looks forward to getting a closer look at the facilities next time.
"I like it, I like the school, they showed me around. It was a fun experience," he said.
Callaway also hopes to hear more from Auburn and Ohio State. He loves the Auburn spread offense and he likes the "different" environment Ohio State has to offer. He'll take some visits with his high school team this summer, he just isn't sure where yet.
"I'm just going to go through the whole recruiting process, have fun, play my senior year, then signing day, make a decision," he said.
"In a school, I'm looking for commitment, hard work, that's about it."
