Webb City (Mo.) High offensive lineman Dalton Ford has five offers, but he would like to add another after attending a camp at Arkansas on Thursday.
The three-star prospect has offers from Illinois and Syracuse, as well as from three FCS schools (Central Arkansas, Missouri State and Eastern Illinois).
"I'm definitely trying to come out of here with an offer," Ford said. "That's my No. 1 goal."
While those are his only offers, Ford said several coaches have visited him at his high school this spring. Coaches from Missouri, Kansas State, Illinois and several FCS schools have come by Webb City to see him.
Ford is 6-4 and currently weighs between 285-290 pounds, but he is trying to lose weight this summer.
"I'm actually on a weight loss (program) right now," Ford said. "I'm trying to lose about 15 more pounds for season. Then after that, go back to bulking up."
The Arkansas camp is Ford's second of the summer after attending one at Missouri last week.
"It was pretty good," Ford said. "The coaches seemed really impressed with me. They said they'd let me know on decisions after they had their staff meeting."
The only other camp he plans on going to this summer is one at Kansas State on Saturday.
When he gets home from Manhattan, Kan., Ford said that he would shift his focus to his high school team, which runs a veer offense.
Despite playing in a run-heavy offense, he said he would also continue to work on his pass blocking.
"We run the ball a lot," Ford said. "I'm trying to get better for that. I'm also trying to work on my pass blocking some more because I know in college I'll probably be pass blocking a lot."
Coming into Thursday's camp, he had not been offered by Arkansas, but he could see himself playing for the Razorbacks.
"I think I could definitely fit in pretty well," Ford said. "I like the campus a lot and I know some of the coaches and I like the coaching staff."
