Offers have been consistently been coming in for Houston (Tex.) Jersey Village defensive back Jordon Williams. He recently named a Top 8 via twitter, but has taken time to mention a few of the schools that have stood out to him.
"I put a Top 8 on twitter in no order. Iowa State, Utah, Houston, Rice, Wake Forest and Northwestern, those standout to me," Williams said.
For the 6-foot-1 ,190-pound Williams, finding a "nice campus and good education" are priority. Last season, he was solid at the safety position with 47 tackles and two interceptions.
And while safety is the position to which he is most familiar, schools like him in a variety of positions.
"Houston is the only school where the coach wants me at linebacker. Iowa State wants me at the nickel and all the other schools as a defensive back," Williams said.
This summer, Oklahoma State and New Mexico are the two programs he plans to camp at. Not long after that, look for Williams to make a decision.
"I think that recruiting is going well, but I'm ready to get it (the list) down and limit the colleges and get a choice out there. I don't like bouncing to different colleges," Williams said. "I am ready to get going for the season so I want to make a decision before the start of the season."
