Michael Jackson recently caught Ole Miss' eye at one of Spain Park's practices.
"Coach Nix came to one of our practices and we started getting in contact with one another after that. We have a pretty cool relationship. He seems like a really cool dude."
What does he know about Ole Miss so far?
"It is a good school to go to. They play big time schools, and they are real good at playing big time football. I also like the campus because it is a pretty cool place and low profile. It seems like you could not get in much trouble around there so that is really good."
Nebraska is the latest school to extend a scholarship.
"They like my size and versatility because I can play corner or safety. I think I am better fit for corner because that is what I have played all of my life, but I'm 6' 1", 190-pounds so I can play safety too if needed."
What was Michael wanting to get out of the trip to Ole Miss?
"I wanted to see what type of defensive style they play and what is the scheme they run. It's real aggressive for the defensive backs so I really like that. I also wanted to work with their defensive back coach, and I thought coach (Jason) Jones helped my game out a lot. He is all about being a technician and I like that."
Getting an offer from Ole Miss would mean a lot.
"It would be really big for me because it would be my first SEC offer. That is where I have always dreamed of playing."
Where does Jackson camp at next?
"I do not even know yet. I will go to some more though. I just do not know where yet."
