Ledbetter Raves About Arkansas

Hutchinson, Kan., CC defensive tackle Jeremiah Ledbetter (6-3, 281) and his parents finished up visiting Arkansas on Friday and left very impressed with what the Razorbacks had to offer.

After finishing up with his visit to Arkansas on Friday, Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College defensive tackle Jeremiah Ledbetter came to a realization about his college decision.

"The visit to Arkansas went great, just great," Ledbetter said as he waited for his flight home to Orlando. "I can't say enough great things about the campus, the coaches and the fans. It know has become much more of a major factor in my decision that I thought it would be to begin with. I can see myself playing here."

Most have thought Ledbetter (6-3, 281) - who visited along with his parents - would end up in his native Florida with either the Gators or Miami.

"Arkansas did a great job in showing my parents and myself everything that we needed to know about the school as far as academics, facilities and their vision for what the program could become in the future," Ledbetter said. "The coaches really had a plan on how they wanted to go about recruiting me and really stressed to me how I could have a major impact right away and how I am needed to help them move forward.

"My mom was a little worried about me coming to school so far away, but she's all on board now if this is where I end up deciding to sign," Ledbetter said. "Both of my parents really enjoyed the visit and were really impressed with what Arkansas has to offer."

Ledbetter had 64 tackles last season with seven sacks, an interception, three pass break ups and a forced fumble.

He got a chance to spend time with new Razorback defensive line coach Rory Segrest.

"I was really impressed with Coach Segrest," Ledbetter said. "He is very smart and is a great teacher of technique and has been in the NFL so he knows what it takes to get there."

Ledbetter, who played his senior season at Gainesville, Ga., visited Miami unofficially earlier this week and had taken a unofficial visit to Florida last month. He plans to visit Florida officially doing the upcoming season and then make a decision."

He had committed to Oklahoma State last year, but was unable to get in school and opened back up his recruitment.

"Now it's really just those schools as my top three – Arkansas, Florida and Miami," Ledbetter said. "I will make the visit to Florida during the season and then I'll anounce a decision."
