Agim Ready to Impress

Hope (Ark.) High's McTelvin Agim, a 2016 Arkansas target, is a four-star defensive end with offer an offer from the Razorbacks, as well as Alabama, Auburn and Oklahoma, among others.

Hope (Ark.) High's McTelvin Agim has been piling up offers this year.

Only a rising junior, the four-star defensive end is already up to nine offers – Alabama, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Auburn, Baylor, Clemson, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Stanford.

The Alabama offer came after he attended a camp this summer. At the end of the camp, Agim had the opportunity to talk to head coach Nick Saban.

"It was pretty neat," Agim said. "He's pretty down to earth and was really straight to me. He was a cool guy."

This summer has provided Agim a chance to attend several camps, including stops at Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Oklahoma and Ole Miss.

"(The camps) are showing me that I have a lot to learn with my game," Agim said. "Last year I was raw, but now I am becoming a student of the game."

At the camps, Agim has been working on every aspect of his game: hands, feet, movement and quickness off the ball.

His next camp will be at Arkansas on July 24. It will be his first trip to Fayetteville since Arkansas' junior day in the spring, but he has visited Arkansas several times since last summer.

"I'm really trying to get a better connection with (Arkansas tight ends) coach (Barry) Lunney," Agim said. "I also want to learn more about coach (Bret) Bielema, his system and how they run it. I want to show them that they offered me for a reason."
