Dumas (Ark.) High’s Will Gragg will be in Fayetteville for Arkansas’ scrimmage Saturday.
The four-start tight end will be joined by a fellow recruiting target of the Razorbacks, four-star wide receiver K.J. Hill from North Little Rock.
“I’m looking forward to watching the scrimmage and seeing how they’ve developed,” Gragg said. “Also, I want to see how they react to the coaches.”
The pair has been recruited hard not only by the Arkansas coaches, but the other Arkansas in-state commits, such as Charleston’s Ty Storey and Fayetteville’s C.J. O’Grady, as well.
“It’s constant,” Gragg said of his talks with the other commits. “They want me and K.J. to come up there and stay home.”
Because his older brother, Chris Gragg, played for the Razorbacks and he has been on campus many times, Gragg will not take an official visit to Arkansas. Instead, he will visit Louisville (Sept. 1), Texas (Sept. 6), Ole Miss (Oct. 4), Alabama (Oct. 18) and LSU (Nov. 8).
He is rated as the No. 4 tight end in the country and also has offers from Auburn, Baylor, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Miami (FL), Mississippi State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, USC and Vanderbilt, among others.
Gragg said he plans to sign a financial aid agreement and have a decision by Nov. 18. Until then, he said he is continuing to improve for his final year of high school.
Last year, Gragg helped lead Pine Bluff to the 6A state championship game, where the Zebras lost to El Dorado, but he will play at Dumas, where his dad was hired as the superintendent, in 2014.
“I’m just being myself and building a good relationship with my team and coaches,” Gragg said.
