Future Razorbacks Shine Brightly

Arkansas head football coach Bret Bielema and assistant Rory Segrest were on hand to see defensive tackle pledge Hjalte Froholdt (6-5. 290) in a game that ended in less than two quarters on a Friday night that had several big performances from future Razorbacks.

Arkansas head football coach Bret Bielema and Razorback defensive line coach Rory Segrest went to see prized defensive tackle commit Hjalte Froholdt Friday night, but the game didn’t last very long.

Froholdt’s Bradenton, Fla., IMG Academy won 48-8 over Hialeah Champagnat Catholic in a game that lasted less than two quarters.

The game ended with six minutes left in the second quarter after a scuffle that resulted in each team having a player ejected.

Champagant decided to forfeit, load the buses and go home at that point in what was the season finale for IMG.

“I’ve been around football for a long time and have never seen anything like that,” IMG head coach Chris Weinke, the former Florida State quarterback, told the Bradenton Herald.

Froholdt is a 6-5, 290-pound defensive tackle for IMG (10-1), which has a host of Division I prospects.

He had 55 tackles with 7 sacks entering the season finale.

“We have some special kids and I’m excited to see them play at the next level,” Weinke said. • • •
