Danish-born four-star defensive tackle Hjalte Froholdt (6-5, 295) became the fourth current Arkansas commit to sign a Financial Aid-Agreement with the Razorbacks when he inked his papers on Thursday morning.

Froholdt played this season at Bradenton, Fla., IMG Academy and had Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema and Razorback defensive line coach Rory Segrest at his season finale last Friday.

“Hjalte possesses all the uncommon qualities we look for in a Razorback,” said Bielema. “We’re ecstatic to welcome him to Fayetteville and the Razorback family. He brings physicality on the field and embodies the qualities off the field that we look for in our men."

Froholdt joins Charleston quarterback Ty Storey, Carrollton, Texas, Hebron center Zach Rogers and Fort Smith Northside defensive end Daytrieon Dean as players that have signed FAAs with Arkansas and who will enroll in January.

The Razorbacks are also expected to have Dumas tight end Will Gragg, Hutchinson, Kan., Community College defensive lineman Jeremiah Ledbetter and former Florida prep offensive lineman Josh Allen enroll in January.

Froholdt had 58 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 12 tackles for lost yardage and forced two fumbles this season in nine games and chose Arkansas over Florida State, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan and others.

"Hjalte and our early-signees are helping to shape the future of Arkansas football," Bielema said. "Hjalte brings an unusual story from Denmark to Fayetteville and I feel he will only add to it moving forward.”
