Hill – who took a one-day visit to Alabama this weekend – announced the news via his twitter account.
I know this will disappoint many, but after careful consideration I am re-opening my recruiting and deconmiting from Arkansas!!— KMFJ (@KayJayHill) January 18, 2015
Instead of taking a planned official visit to Arkansas next weekend, Hill will now visit national champion Ohio State.
“He will visit Arkansas on the 30th if they still want him,” notes Montez Peterson, Hill’s step dad.
It’s been a busy last few days for Hill, who had 58 catches for 1,023 yards and 11 touchdowns and rushed for 386 yards and seven more scores this season.
Hill had expressed his disappointment in Arkansas offensive coordinator Jim Chaney leaving for Pittsburgh, but he already had the visit to Alabama scheduled before that exit.
“A lot swirling in his head right now,” Peterson said.
Hill – an University of Arkansas football commit - played in his basketball team’s 61-49 loss to Jonesboro on Friday night.
He then boarded a flight Saturday morning for a one-day official trip to Alabama and then was back on a plane Sunday headed for Washington, D.C.
Hill and the Charging Wildcats are scheduled to play an 8:45 p.m. EST game Sunday night against New York’s Jefferson High School tonight in the Martin Luther King Hoopfest in Washington, D.C.
It is a four-day, 40-team, 20-game event now in its fourth year.
