No. 1 Kentucky 78, No. 21 Arkansas 63

Andrew Harrison and Willie Cauley Stein have 15 points to lead a balanced attack as No. 1 Kentucky (34-0) remains perfect by downing No. 21 Arkansas 78-63 Sunday afternoon in the SEC Tournament Championship game before 20,315 mostly blue-clad fans at Bridgestone Arena.

Over the course of 34 games, No. 21 Arkansas has proven it is second-best team in the SEC and one of the Top 25 in the country.

During that same time, No. 1 and unbeaten Kentucky has proven it is unquestionably the best in the country.

Andrew Harrison had 15 points and tournament MVP Willie Cauley Stein 15 points and 10 rebounds as the Wildcats (34-0) downed the Razorbacks 78-63 Sunday in the SEC Tournament Championship game before 20,315 fans at Bridgeton Arena.

Arkansas (26-8) - which had maybe 250 fans in attendance to Kentucky’s 20,000 or so — will now await for its bracket placement in the NCAA Tournament, whose pairings will be announced at 5 p.m.

Michael Qualls - who did not start the game - had 18 points and Bobby Portis 13 to lead the Razorbacks, who cut a 16-point lead int he first half to nine midway through the second half, but couldn't get any closer.

Kentucky downed Arkansas twice this season taking an 84-67 decision on Feb. 28 at Rupp Arena

The Wildcats have now won two straight over the Razorbacks after Arkansas had won four of the previous five contests in the series.
