Redshirt freshman running back Juan Day underwent reconstructive knee surgery on Monday and will miss the rest of Arkansas spring drills.
Day missed most of his senior season at North Little Rock with ACL surgery on his other knee. He was redshirted last fall at Arkansas as a true freshman and was one of the winter stars in offseason workouts.
Day sustained the knee injury in the first week of spring drills. Head coach Bret Bielema confirmed rumors of Day's injury via twitter on Monday, with the news that the running back had undergone knee surgery. It's unlikley that Day will be ready for the start of fall practice after the surgery.
