Cosper Becomes Lady Razorbacks' Ninth Signee

Arkansas women's basketball coach Jimmy Dykes adds his ninth signee of the 2015 class - and his third junior college All-American this spring alone - when Coffeyville, Kan., Community College shooting guard Devin Cosper (5-10) signs her letter-of-intent with the Lady Razorbacks.

If it seems like Arkansas women's basketball head coach Jimmy Dykes is adding a signee a day, it's because he almost is doing just that.

The latest addition is 5-10 shooting guard Devin Cosper of Coffeyville, Kan., Community College.

She becomes the third Junior College All-American that the Lady Razorbacks have signed this spring and the ninth player overall in his 2015 recruiting class.

Cosper, who averaged 20 points and 4.8 rebounds per game this past season while shooting 52 percent from the field, was the only freshman on the All-American team and will come in as a sophomore with three years to play.

"Devin has the potential to impact our team right away," Dykes said. "She is a tremendous athlete and was the state champion in the 100 meters in high school. We are thrilled she has decided to join our program."

After starring for Coffeyville's Field Kindley High School, Cosper led the Jayhawk Conference in scoring this season and had 30 points in her team's first game at the NJCAA tournament.

Cosper was named the Jayhawk Conference's East Division Player of the Year, the league's freshman of the year and a first-team all-conference performer.

The other two junior college All-Americans to sign with Arkansas this spring are 6-4 center Alecia Cooley of State Fair Community College and 6-1 forward Angelica de Paulo of New Mexico Junior College.
