Crockett Keeps Striving For Razorback Offer

Little Rock Christian tailback Damara Crockett (5-11, 210) was back in Fayetteville this weekend and got a chance to work out with Arkansas coaches as he continues his request to get a Razorback offer.

There wasn’t a ton of running backs at Arkansas’ football camp on Saturday, but that allowed Little Rock Christian star Damarea Crockett more time to shine.

"I feel like it was good that we didn't have a lot of running backs because they got to see us and our conditioning,” Crockett said. “We got a lot of reps. They got to see the real us, when we're tired and when we're not tired.”

Crockett (5-11, 210, 4.42) has been racking up the offers this spring and now is up to 11.

Those include ones from Arizona State, Boise State, Vanderbilt, Memphis, Louisiana Tech, Arkansas State, Colorado State, Army, Navy and Yale.

He is hoping to add one from Arkansas sooner than later.

"They just said that I looked really good and told me that they would watch film from the camp and call me in a couple of days," Crockett said on Monday morning.

Crockett, who rushed 144 times for 1,250 yards and 19 touchdowns, got chance to work with new Arkansas running backs coach Jemal Singleton.

"The running backs coach really liked me,” Crockett said. “He liked the way I performed."

Asked what he did well, Crockett thought it was pretty well-rounded.

"I feel like I did well on my agility and quickness and running my routes better,” Crocektt said. “ I feel like I did pretty good in the pro-agility, all the testing and the forty and stuff.”
