Denham Spring, La., offensive lineman Justin Henderson (6-7, 320) - who played last season at Brandenton, Fla., IMG Academy with current Arkansas defensive lineman Hjalte Froholdt (6-4, 290) - was one of the 160 or so prospects that showed up.
“I like it here and even when my brother was in high school, he was interested in here,” Henderson said. “And now that I have a friend here like Hjalte and he has such a great opinion of it, it’s got to be a great place.”
Henderson already has offers from Kent State and the University of Central Florida.
Henderson, who started as a freshman at Denham Springs, and Froholdt regularly tangled in practice last season.
“Not only is he such a physical and athletic player, but he is a great guy,” Henderson said. “Me and him, we talked a lot and he is a great mentor and is somebody that helped the younger kids.
“I was only a sophomore and he was a senior, but he helped me a lot in growing into a man. When we went up against each other, it was definitely fun to go up against somebody that big in size and strength.”
Henderson is happy he went to IMG for a year, but yearned to return home and help his high school do great things.
“It was definitely a great experience,” Henderson said. “Glad I got to go there and experience everything.
“…(But) to be away from home for three years in high school, I think the thought of that was a little too much for me. So I decided I wanted to go back home and finish out where I started.
“IMG is kind of a different experience than your regular high school, that’s for sure.”
