The class of 2017 offensive lineman from Shawnee, Oklahoma, stands 6-feet, 4-inches and weights 301 pounds and is looking at the Razorbacks as a potential college choice.
He said he loves how the offensive linemen are treated in Fayetteville, from sitting in first class on flights to appearing on the cover of the media guide.
“It’d be awesome knowing that the big guys come first at a school,” Humphrey said.
However, he is still searching for his first offer. Other than Arkansas, Humphrey has gone to camps at Memphis, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss.
While he attended last week’s camp to support his quarterback (Jack Diamond), he participated in one of Arkansas’ camps in June and said he performed well.
If an Arkansas offer comes his way, he said there are several reasons he would consider the Razorbacks.
“The campus is beautiful,” Humphrey said. “The facilities are really nice.”
While he waits for schools to offer, Humphrey said he is focusing on having a solid junior season at Shawnee High.
“I’ve been getting ready for football season and building leg strength this summer,” Humphrey said. “That was probably one of my weaknesses last year, so that’s why I’m working on it a lot this year.”
Here is a list of other prospects that came to last week’s camp, but didn’t participate.
• DE McTelvin Agim
• DT Briston Guidry
• WR Tyrie Cleveland
• ATH TJ Hammonds
• TB Devwah Whaley
• DL Chris Daniels
