Arkansas' late-season run in 2014 has the nation's attention for 2015.
The Razorbacks were ranked 18th in the Associated Press preseason football poll released on Sunday.
It is the first time Arkansas has appeared in the AP poll since Sept. 4, 2012 and is the 26th time in the program's history that the Razorbacks have been ranked in the preseason oill.
Arkansas, which plays six teams ranked in the AP Top 25 this season, has been in the AP poll on 410 weeks in its histor
Defending national champion Ohio State is ranked No. 1 in the poll and followed by TCU, Alabama, Baylor and Michigan State.
SEC teams joining Arkansas and Alabama in the poll are Auburn (6th), Georgia (9th), LSU (14th), Ole Miss (17th), Missouri (24th) and Tennessee (25th).
Mississippi State and Texas A&M - two other SEC teams that the Razorbacks play this season, are the top two teams receiving votes that did not make the poll.
Arkansas will open its seasom on Saturday, Sept. 5 when it hosts UTEP at 2:30 p.m. inside Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville.
