Arkansas head coah Mike Anderson got the NCAA week-long early signing period underway on Wednesday by inking Campti, La., Lakeview forward Adrio Bailey (6-8, 205) to a national letter-of-intent.
Bailey, one of at least four players the Razorbacks are expected to sign, chose Arkansas over Oklahoma State, Wichita State, Charlotte, Oral Roberts and Louisiana Tech among others.
"Adrio is an explosive player with tremendous athletic ability and has that toughness we are looking for,” Anderson said. “His length, ability to score, defend, run the floor and attack the basket make him an exciting player maker that fits what we do in the #Fastest40 Minutes of basketball. Adrio’s character, incredible instincts for the game and passion for winning make him perfect for our program. We couldn’t be happier to have this exceptional talent join the Razorback family.”
Bailey averaged 15 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1.3 blocks last season for Lakeview, who was 34-4 and made a second straight trip to the state title game.
