Cater Leaves Arkansas Impressed

Arkansas left a big impression on Indiana defensive end commit Allen Cater during his official visit this past weekend.

Kennesaw, Ga., Mt. Paran Christian defensive end Allen Cater (6-5, 240) admits the bar has now been set in terms of his recruiting.

The current Indiana soft verbal commit admitted that after finishing up his official visit to Arkansas this past weekend.

“I really enjoyed my visit to Arkansas and they have really set the bar in terms of what I was looking for,” Cater said. “Great coaches, great players and I know they have great fans from being up there earlier for a game.”

Cater will now take his official visit this upcoming weekend to Indiana.

“I told the Arkansas coaches that I would take the Indiana visit and then come back and call them the next week,” Cater said. “I will either commit then or decide if I want to look at some other schools.”

One of the bigger impressions left on Cater was the Razorback equipment room.

“That really made a impression on me,” Cater said. “It was so big and there is no much in there. They are really about player safety and just have a lot of things that go toward that.”

Cater was hosted officially by current Arkansas freshman defensive tackle T.J. Smith.

“T.J. did a great job in just being real with me about what is going on at Arkansas,” Cater said. “He is really excited about what they are doing and what they are going to have there in the future. “They have great facilities and just a great overall program. I was just very impressed with everything.”
