Arkansas Recruiting Report, 1/18: Razorbacks Set To Visit Daniels

Arkansas coaches are back on the recruiting trail with several stops planned this week, including one Monday night to see Little Rock-born and current Oklahoma defensive tackle pledge Chris Daniels (6-3, 300), who got an offer from the Razorbacks on Monday.

Arkansas will be in the home of Oklahoma defensive tackle pledge Chris Daniels of Trinity, Texas, Euless on Monday night.

Daniels (6-3, 300) – who was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and has family living there and in Fayettevillle that are Razorback fans – visited Texas officially this past weekend and then got an offer from Arkansas on Monday.

Daniels will host Arkansas coaches Jenal Singleton and Vernon Hargreaves on Monday night after visiting with Oklahoma, the school he committed to on Dec. 18.

Daniels had long wanted an Arkansas offer, but recently got a qualifying ACT score and thus the Razorbacks staff finally put one on the table.

It also helped that Arkansas’ expected number of spots in the class has grown from 16 to 25 with players leaving for the NFL, some early graduates and a couple of players being dismissed.

Heinrich is one of as many as 12 to 15 prospects that Arkansas could host this weekend on official visits.

Bielema saw San Bernardino Valley CC offensive lineman Paul Martinez (6-7, 295) last Thursday and he and Anderson are scheduled to see Mundelin, Ill., Carmel Catholic offensive lineman Sean Foster (6-7, 285) later this week.

Arkansas tailback commit Devwah Whaley of Beaumont, Texas, Central tweeted out a photo of him in the Under Armour All-American game beside a huge Razorback logo.

Whaley did not take an official visit to Texas last weekend as some speculated and has no plans as of now to take any other official visits.
