Arkansas To Host Several Prospects
Arkansas’ football program will have several prospects on campus this week with one former Texas center having already arrived.
Jake Raulerson (6-4, 295), a graduate transfer who started five games last season, is on campus for an official visit that will last through the weekend.
Raulerson had intended to transfer to UCLA, but was not admitted to school and is currently considering Arkansas, North Carolina and SMU.
The Razorbacks, who are hosting a one-day prospect camp on Saturday, will also have a top running back target on campus that day.
Punta Gorda, Fla., Charlotte star Maleek Williams (5-11, 205) – who has the Razorbacks as one of his top five will be in Fayetteville this week.
Williams rushed for only 664 yards as a junior, but that was because he split time in the backfield.
It should be noted that he averaged 11.3 yards per carry and still scored 12 touchdowns despite the limited carries.
"I didn't have a high rushing number, but if you watch my film, you see I have power, size and speed," Williams told Illinois Scout.com writer Jeremy Werner. "I made the best of my abilities last year because I averaged 11 yards per carry."
He released his top five in order on Tuesday with Illinois topping the list followed by Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Florida.
One of the other top prospects on campus is expected to be Greenwood junior quarterback Connor Noland, who has both football and baseball offers from Arkansas.
