Six Arkansas Razorbacks make Team USA for Rio Olympics

Arkansas is going to be well represented in Rio.

After many impressive performances at the United States Olympic Trials, six Razorbacks landed on Team USA for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

The 127-athlete list includes Taylor Ellis-Watson, Tyson Gay, Jarrion Lawson, Sandi Morris, Lexi Weeks and Chrishuna Williams.

Gay will be the only returning Olympian of the six after representing Team USA in 2008 and 2012.

The five new Arkansas Olympians will train in Fayetteville with their coaches, according to a university press release.

The six Razorbacks on Team USA won’t be the only ones headed to Rio, as nine other Hogs qualified for other Olympic teams.
