Arkansas has landed another talented recruit from the state of Texas.
Arkansas has landed its second talented recruit in as many days with the commitment of DeSoto (Texas) 4-star athlete Byron Hanspard Jr.. He chose the Razorbacks over a long list of other schools.
Hanspard visited Arkansas on Tuesday along with his family. He also attended a game in Fayetteville last fall.
At Arkansas, Hanspard can play on either side of the football as a defensive back or wide receiver. He had 40 tackles and three interceptions as a junior.
His father, Byron Sr., won the Doak Walker Award in 1996 at Texas Tech.
On Tuesday, Carterville (Ill.) 3-star tight end Luke Ford committed. Hanspard and Ford join Greenwood (Ark.) 4-star quarterback Connor Noland and Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy 4-star linebacker Bumper Pool in the Class of 2018.
