4 walk-ons added to Arkansas Razorbacks' football roster

A few walk-ons have been added to Arkansas' football roster.

FAYETTEVILLE -- An updated Arkansas football roster distributed to the media Monday includes four walk-ons who weren't previously on the team.

Three of the players are from Arkansas, including two who played just down the road at Fayetteville High School. Here is a list of those players, as well as a tidbit about each.

Terrell Collins

#27 | LB | 6-0 | 235 | Soph. | St. Louis (Mo.) Hazelwood Central

Before joining the Razorbacks, Collins played at Iowa Western C.C., the same junior-college that produced All-SEC offensive lineman Sebastian Tretola. In 10 games with the Reivers, he made 34 tackles, including 1.5 for loss and one sack.

Jon Fagg

#35 | K/P | 5-11 | 190 | R-Fr. | Fayetteville (Ark.)

Although he wasn't on the roster last season, Fagg committed to the Razorbacks as a preferred walk-on in 2016. As a kicker, he made 58 of 63 PATs and 9 of 10 field goals during his senior year, helping Fayetteville with the Class 7A state championship. However, he was more accomplished as a punter, a position of need for the Arkansas with the graduation of Toby Baker. Fagg is the son of Arkansas Senior Associate Athletic Director Jon Fagg.

Brenden Young

#47 | LB | 6-1 | 202 | Soph. | Bryant (Ark.)

Young originally signed with Ouachita Baptist, a Division II school in Arkadelphia, coming out of Bryant High School. In 2015, he appeared in 11 games for the Tigers and had nine tackles, one quarterback hurry and one interception.

Tyson Morris

#84 | WR | 6-1 | 201 | Fr. | Fayetteville (Ark.)

After earning All-Conference and All-State honors while leading Fayetteville to a Class 7A state championship, Morris signed with Central Oklahoma, a Division II school in Edmond, Okla. The Bronchos head coach, Nick Bobeck, described him as "a big pass-catcher with a physical body. Has the ability to stretch the field and make plays after the catch with his physical tools." Morris is the son of former Arkansas basketball player Isaiah Morris, who was a second-round pick in the 1992 NBA Draft.

More Number Changes

In addition to the 10 number changes HawgsDaily noted Saturday, there are two other Razorbacks who will be wearing different numbers in 2017.

Both are walk-on players from North Little Rock:

  • Wide receiver River Warnock will now wear No. 19 (previously: No. 14)
  • Linebacker Tyler Phillips will now wear No. 34 (previously: No. 53)
