Arkansas will get an official visit from a talented point guard transfer.
Arkansas is one of four schools set to get an official visit from Michael Weathers. He was outstanding this season at Miami (Ohio) being named the Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year.
Weathers will visit four schools this month. They are Nevada (14), Arkansas (17), Xavier (20) and Oklahoma State (25). Weathers' visit list was first reported by ESPN's Jeff Goodman.
The Hogs have one scholarship remaining for the Class of 2017. Weathers would have to sit out the 2017-18 season, but then would have three years to play three.
This past season as a true freshman, Weathers averaged 16.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.9 steals. Arkansas Coach Mike Anderson and assistant T. J. Cleveland made an in-home visit with him today. The Hogs offered a scholarship while Oklahoma State offered on Friday.
At Shawnee Mission (Kan.) North as a senior, Weathers averaged 20.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
