Arkansas continues to host recruits for unofficial visits. In addition to a Baylor commitment, the Hogs are also hosting some 2019 prospects.
Arkansas already has extended four offers in the Class of 2019 in Arkansas. Another talented 2019 in-state recruit will make it to the Arkansas campus today. Fort Smith Northside athlete Derrick Wise II will make an unofficial visit to Arkansas today.
Wise will head to Fayetteville when his classes at Northside are completed today. Wise is considered one of the top prospects in Arkansas in 2019. Whether that translates to an offer from the Razorbacks is yet to be determined. But with or without a Razorback offer Wise is one to watch the next couple of years.
The Class of 2019 inside the state has a chance to be one of the best in recent memory. The initial release of the Top247 last weekend included three recruits from Arkansas. Pulaski Academy tight end Hudson Henry, Warren wide receiver Treylon Burks and Jonesboro offensive tackle Darius Thomas made the list. All three hold various offers including one from the Razorbacks.
In addition, Bentonville West wide receiver Jadon Jackson was offered by the Hogs on Saturday. A few other players in the 2019 class in Arkansas are Joe T. Robinson defensive lineman Elliott Harris Jr., Jonesboro defensive lineman Kevin Pointer, Little Rock Catholic running back Sammy Johnson, Magnolia running back Kadyn Roach and Texarkana safety DeJordan Mask. Those are just a few of the ones who have emerged as someone to watch.
Checking Out a Pair
Class of 2019 Aledo (Texas) cornerback Brannon Webb will visit Arkansas and Oklahoma State this weekend. Webb has also been to Texas A&M and Baylor recently for unofficial visits.
As a sophomore this past season, Webb had 90 tackles, one tackle for loss, five pass breakups, five interceptions, one forced fumble and two recovered fumbles.
Southlake (Texas) Carroll 3-star offensive tackle Jackson Kimble committed to Baylor on Feb. 18, but he's still keeping an open mind, at least to some degree, in recruiting. He will visit Friday and Saturday.
Kimble also holds offers to such schools as Arkansas, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Arkansas State, Bowling Green, Houston and Minnesota.
He was offered by the Hogs on March 13.
