Arkansas, Ole Miss to play doubleheader

Weather has forced Arkansas and Ole Miss to tweak their weekend schedule.

FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas and Ole Miss will play the final two games of their three-game series in a doubleheader beginning at noon Friday.

Game 1 of the series is still scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, but the second and third games have been moved up because heavy rain is expected in the area Friday night and into Saturday.

Friday’s tickets can be used for both games of the doubleheader, while single-game Saturday tickets may be exchanged for tickets to a future 2017 regular-season game. Season tickets for Saturday’s game may not be exchanged.

The SEC Network will televise Thursday’s game, but the schedule change forces both Friday games to be streamed on SEC Network+, meaning they can be watched online on or on the WatchESPN app.

Because of SEC rules requiring games to be played in a three-day window and the Ole Miss series beginning on Thursday, playing on Sunday was not an option. Both games Friday will be a full nine innings.

As always, Hawgs247 will have complete coverage from Baum Stadium for all three games.

Nothing has been announced about Saturday’s Red-White spring football game, which is scheduled for noon at Razorback Stadium.
